NXL ? This will be a closed division featuring the 16 NXL teams from the 2006 season.
Open Xball - $2750
- Games will be played over two 16 minute halves.
- Teams will play a round-robin format within a grouping of 5 teams.
- Teams within a group will play in 2 ? hour sessions over the first 2 days. Top
teams will then advance to semi finals, and continue a round-robin format with new
groups.
- Mercy rule: If at any point during the second half one team is winning by 7 or more
points, the game will be called.
- Rosters will be limited at 19 people total with a minimum of 10 players.
- Open to any and all players that are not rostered on another team at an event.
Division 2 Xball - $2400
- Games will be played with a 15 minute game clock which will stop after each point
scored.
- Division 2 games will be won when one team reaches a score of 7 points or 15
minutes of actual play time has expired. Teams will switch sides after every fourth
game point scored.
- Rosters for this division will be capped at a total of 18 people. Teams will be
required to carry a roster with a minimum of 7 players and maximum of 15 players.
No more than 4 staff members per roster will be allowed.
Division 3 Xball - $2300
- Games will be played with a 15 minute game clock which will stop after each point
scored.
- Division 3 games will be won when one team reaches a score of 5 points or 15
minutes of actual play time has expired. Teams will switch sides after every third
game point scored.
- Rosters for this division will be capped at a total of 15 people. Teams will be
required to carry a roster with a minimum of 7 players and maximum of 11 players.
No more than 5 staff members per roster will be allowed
5-man Xball - $1100/$900
- This format follows the basic 5-man rules including but not limited to 5-man
scoring, penalties, roster limits, etc.
- Each team is guaranteed a minimum of 8 games with the possibility of more in the
prelims. Teams will be grouped in sets of five. They will play the other teams in their
group in a round-robin format in a best two out of three series to determine who
will advance to the next round.
- Crowd participation is allowed.
- We will offer both Division 3 and Division 4 for this format. Entry fees will be
$1100 and $900 respectively.
Masters Division - $1800
- Standard PSP D3 Xball rules adjusted as played at the 2006 World Cup.
- Each team may have a limit of 8 players and 2 staff members for a total roster of
10.
- This division will be offered at the LA Open, the Chicago Open, and World Cup.
- This division will have the following age requirements:
- to play at the LA Open, all participants must be 40 years or older as of February 28th.
- to play at the Chicago Open, all participants must be 40 or older as of
June 19th.
- to play at the World Cup, all participants must be 40 or older as of
October 23rd.
